Andrew Chong, AIA
Vice President, Building Division
With over 25 years of architectural experience, Andrew has been a valued member of MAI since 2007. He possesses experience across a broad spectrum of architectural services, encompassing everything from initial programming and design to project construction and final closeout. Throughout his career, Andrew has served as both project architect and project manager, successfully overseeing numerous new construction and renovation projects for a variety of state and government agencies.

How I Got Into My Career
I really enjoyed my mechanical drawing classes while in high school at Hawaiian Mission Academy. After graduating from high school, I decided to check out the Architectural Drafting program at H.C.C., and the rest is history.

Outside the Office
My body is always in motion, and I love being outdoors! I am a triathlete and marathoner, and have done many races including the Kona Ironman and the Boston Marathon. When I am relaxing, I enjoy playing the guitar.
