Construction Manager I

Job Title: Construction Manager I

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Manager I to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee various construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. Responsibilities include managing contractors, coordinating with architects and engineers, preparing project schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with project team members to identify and resolve project-related issues and conflicts.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings with stakeholders, providing updates on project performance, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and controlling project expenditures.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent project expectations and objectives.
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Address stakeholder concerns and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular project status reports and presentations to stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended actions.
  • Foster a collaborative and transparent communication environment, ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged in project decision-making processes.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager, successfully delivering construction projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Sound knowledge of project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects concurrently, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices related to project management.

  • PE License, Architecture License, is required. And CCM (Certified Construction Manager) certification is highly desirable.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.

CADD Operator IV (Architectural)

Job Title: CADD Operator IV (Architectural)

Job Summary:
Mitsunaga & Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled CADD Operator IV to join our architectural team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CADD software and be proficient in producing and coordinating drawing packages. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient use of Revit and AutoCAD to generate and coordinate drawing packages from schematic design through construction documents.

  • Proficient use of Bluebeam, Word, and Excel for project documentation and communication.

  • Proficient use of rendering software such as Lumion and Enscape for project visualizations.

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and visual.

  • Experience with construction knowledge and ability to develop project-specific technical details and coordinate specifications to drawings.

  • Management skills including time/schedule management, quality control deliverables, and budget management.

  • Experience with construction observation and administration.

  • Experience with construction software management such as Procore, E-Builder, and AutoCAD Builder.

  • Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects.

  • Knowledge of building codes and local zoning regulations.

  • Ability to navigate the Department of Planning and Permitting e-plans process for building permits.

  • An enthusiastic team player with a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.
